Image Histograms and Pixel Colors Explained
A histogram counts values but does not tell the full story of whether a photo looks correct.
Method
Inspect brightness distributions for large dark or bright clusters; RGB histograms reveal channel tendencies that may indicate a cast. Pixel inspection can confirm specific colors, while color-management and browser conversion can affect reported values.
Verification and limitations
Avoid using browser-decoded RGB as a raw-camera measurement. Compare corrected visuals on the actual display and in the destination app.
