Image Sharpening

Apply an unsharp-mask style adjustment to emphasize edges.

Local image preview and result

Tool settings

Select an image to begin.

No selected image is uploaded by this tool. Heavy pixel work runs in a dedicated browser worker where supported. The local preview is a raster result; keep your original.

How to use Image Sharpening

  1. Select a compatible still image on your device.
  2. Adjust tool settings; for manual cutouts, erase or restore areas directly on the preview.
  3. Process locally, inspect your image, and download the PNG output if satisfactory.

What this workflow actually does

Select a sharpening strength and compare a new PNG with the original.

Limitations and honest capabilities

Excess sharpening can exaggerate halos and noise. Not a model-based deblurring system. Animated files are decoded as a still frame, and image metadata is not retained in this export. A saved PNG is not a guarantee of visual quality: compare the source before publishing.

Browser-based operations depend on your device memory, browser codecs and image dimensions. Small test images are recommended before attempting large jobs. You can always return to the image tool directory to explore other useful workflows.
